An Aarhus 2017 and More Creative Event – Presented by Danish Fashion Institute, Femmes Régionales, Ane Lynge-Jorlén og Headstart Fashion
ANYbody is an experience that questions the way we look at our body. Working with some of the finest talents in Danish Fashion and Art, Yoke and Danish Fashion Institute will challenge how we look at our bodies and express ourselves in 2017. The project is an experience divided into two – one in the physical world – and one in the digital. Both rely on the element of surprise to convey the message.
BODY MEETS TECHNOLOGY
What do the restrictions of our bodies and the surrounding environment in the physical world mean, when technology is let loose? Does technology offer a different mind-set, a different perception of who we are and what our possibilities are? Does it give us freedom? With real time body tracking we allow users to explore themselves in another body.
BODY MEETS PHYSICAL WORLD
An exploration of the body that challenges our expectations in terms of how we dress. The project will set out to explore the possibility of twisting our common understanding of the human silhouette and how we wear clothes, by creating mannequins out of the ordinary. The mannequins will be exhibited in and around the streets of Aarhus to meet their audience where they live their everyday lives.
The project aims at engaging upcoming talents with local established fashion brands to juxtapose creative outburst with hands-on experience and knowledge.
